I am with Tiny Mobile and I'm transferring to Public Mobile. During the transfer session it requests to select your old provider and Tiny Mobile is not in the list. Should I have selected Telus?

selecting the wrong one won't work, and I dont think it is right to select Telus in your case.
As said, get a new number first, then open ticket with PM agent and ask them to sort it out manually
or you can also call Tiny Mobile back and ask them, they should know this as well

Thanks for the info. If desperate, I would have selected Telus. Support is closed now so while everything is ready to go for the porting, I'll pick it up tomorrow. Thank you.

check if the number can be ported into PM first ( it is a Koodo site, but the result is same here)

if it can be ported into PM, then select a new number first to activate. Once the activation is completed, open a ticket with PM support agent and ask them to port manually for you
to open a ticket with agent after account is activated, submit a ticket with CS Agent using this Chatbot link: https://widget.telus.tiia.ai/publicmobile/publicmobile.html Type the question "Submit ticket", Then click the following in order: "Contact Us" , "Other", "Log In".
