Hi I transferred my SIM card to Pixel 5 phone, but I get an error message saying mobile network unavailable!
what do I need to do.

Did you ever use this phone as real phone (with other SIM making calls, etc.)?
I guess that SIM you transferred was working before transfer, correct?
Can you try any other SIM in a new phone?
Unless new phone is blacklisted it should be unlocked.

If nothing has worked so far go thru this list of troubleshooting tricks.
You must try to switch off the phone first, Remove the battery and the sim card and then reinsert them. See if the mobile network not available error still persists then follow these series of methods one by one :
Method 1This method can be used for any android device. Navigate to:
Open the “Settings” menu.
Look for the “Wireless and Networks” category where you have to tap the option “More”.
Now select “Mobile Networks”.
Click “Network Operators” and select “Manual”. Once you have done with it, restart your Android phone to get rid of this issue. Yes! Now it is working well.
Fixing Improper Radio Signals Broadcasting
Change Your Battery – Try a different battery within your Android handset. This can effectively resolve the problem. If you found this way to work for you, it means you have a damaged battery that was overheated due to the amount of heat your phone generated.
Method 3There is a problem with the radio signal not being broadcasted correctly.
Dial *#*#4636#*#* in the dialer
You will be prompted with a testing menu
Click phone/device information
Run ping test
Select GSM Auto (PRL) from the drop-down list
Click Turn off the radio
Restart.
If all the steps above did not work for you then update your firmware. Here are the steps for that:
Settings
About device
Software update
Check for update
This is a simple way that fixed the mobile network not available on Android for most people.
Do a factory reset:
Settings
Backup and Reset
Factory Data Reset.
or
Turn off your device.
Next, hold down the Home, Power, and Volume Up button altogether for a few seconds till the Android logo appears on the screen.
Release the buttons then. Use the Volume down button for highlighting any options and the Power key to confirm them. Highlight the factory reset option and confirm it using the power button.
Next, select ‘Delete all user data’ and confirm it.
Wait for few seconds to see the ‘Reboot system now’ option and select it. The phone will be restarted then and you need to set it up from scratch again.

Pixie is all unlocked if I am right. So, it should be device issue if you are sure the SIM and account are working

Try the SIM on another phone. If it works then the phone is the problem.

@muky is this a new phone that you never try with any SIM card? did you just buy the phone from somewhere?
first check if the phone is blacklisted, https://www.devicecheck.ca/check-status-device-canada/
If it is good, then see if you have another SIM to test the phone as well, just want to confirm it is not a device issue

@muky - so your SIM was working fine in your previous phone, right?
Is the Pixel 5 a new to you phone? Do other SIM work in it?
Check the phone is blacklisted here:

If not blacklisted, with the SIM in the Pixel 5 perform a reset of your network settings.

@muky Did you try rebooting your phone? Make sure the network settings is set to LTE mode.
