Switching providers and transferring number

Trying to switch from bell to PM and it keeps saying my number is invalid. Wondering what to do?

See if you meet all the criteria for porting.  You can also contact the CS Agent to have them check it as well.

 

You can contact an agent using the chatbot.  Type "agent" and click contact us to go through the wizard.

If for some reason they don't respond to the ticket, you can try to send an email directly to the CS Agent here.

@Michaelaroberts   any chance you tried activated earlier, entered porting info and then got stuck?  And you are tying it a second time  

The number is invalid error could be in such case that the first attempt of activation and porting failed but it held up the porting request

This could possibly be because the number can't be transferred to Public Mobile.  Which city is the phone number from?  A number can only be ported to Public Mobile if Pubilc Mobile also offers phones numbers for that same city.  Check on the Koodo website if the number can be ported here (Koodo and Public are owned by the same company):
