This NEEDS to be top priority

Major account problem

 

I have filed complaint to CCTS as of this morning as no response from any Public Mods yet in past 2 weeks & this is URGENT

@Shazia_K @Mary_M @Saray_O @Val_T @Jeremy_M

 

 

2 weeks ago I completed future plan change to the $40 12GB promo plan

I expressed concern for what appeared to be an error message & sent PM to @Shazia_K with no response (appears like PM has not even been read yet)

 

I noticed yesterday some more oddities on my online account

I was missing a refer credit (my referal said my number was invalid) so I then sent a PM to @Mary_M since Shazia did not respond to previous PM

No response

 

I then noticed a second strange fact; my online use history showed no use for past 3 days but I was busy so did not think anything about it

 

Then my phone stopped working

 

I posted a few threads, tagging Mods again, and sent more private messages which went unread

I even sent a message to @Saray_O

 

I thought it was garbage I needed to waste my $5 for using a spare SIM but did so

The second SIM also was not working claiming no provision

 

So I have been unable to use my service despite plan being active and having a balance in my account of over $200 !!!!

 

Today someone called my number and  . . . . SOMEONE ELSE ANSWERED THE PHONE

 

So even though my online account is showing ACTIVE with a BALANCE my SIM is NOT PROVISIONED and somehow Public has GIVEN MY PHONE NUMBER TO SOMEONE ELSE with a new activation yesterday ???

 

I actually called into call centre but it just disconnects claiming no phone support and I need to use online help

 

 

SOMEONE READ THIS MESSAGE AND FIX THIS ASAP

Says can not be fixed and requires manual intervention every month now

I'm always online so ok but kinda sucks can't just do recurring credit

With technical issues (giving away phone number) I understand 

But adding credits? Should be quicker I would think

Not really sure what is taking so long, in past adding missing refer credits took a week tops

I emailed mods about status update and they said still pending (Weds)

Then today get more phone calls from them (4th now) saying they did not forget about me and still working on it

 

They also went as far as to say if account not corrected in time (Feb) they will manually just credit account while awaiting solution

 

 

The only thing I can guess that is gumming up the process is my $2 loyalty credit at this point, since my new referals are populating and my new community credits are showing up

(Now if I could get all the old ones I had back Cat Wink )

 

The loyalty cycle is 5 years

I am at year 0 (when I should be at year 2)

 

Month 1 to 11 = 0 (2)

12 to 23 = 1 (3)

24 to 35 = 2 (4)

36 to 47 = 3 (5)

48 to 59 = 4 (5)

60+ = 5 (5)

 

So to correct it (2*11) + (2*12) + (2*12) + (2*12) + (1*12) = $106

60th month it should correct itself with no further action required

I complained about an issue with Public Mobile

I received 2 phone calls from Telus

I received an email from Koodo executive office

 

One thing I will point out, it really is all hands on deck

All 3 branches highest levels are working on fixing this

 

I have to say they are persistant

Got *another* call from Public today confirming what is still outstanding and what needs to be done

 

Mary said will phone me again this Friday (or one of her colleagues) but does not want to promise all issues resolved by then

She said if anything outstanding over Christmas holiday they will call me back in Jan

 

 

@Rockdaddy22 when I did a reverse lookup on the number it was registered to Telus Quebec not a cell phone

 

I have no idea how they are selling landlines in Quebec (unless it is similar to Rogers home phone offerings)

The agent identified themselves as representing Public Mobile and had full access to things like this message board and account info though

Didn't you say Telus phoned you? I was told this was a third party they hired to handle failed ports. Either way it's good news.

@Rockdaddy22 but mine is not a port. It is an existing account with a Public Mobile assigned phone number. This number has never been on any other carrier. Ever.

I've actually been seeing it everyday here. One person said a third party called them to complete the port.

I had just commented on how phone calls from Public are about as real as the Loch Ness Monster or Leprechauns

 

Guess who I just got off the phone with?

 

 

MARY (yes I also asked if she was the mod but she was a different Mary haha) called me to apoligise about my port out and asking what they could do to make things better

 

Apparently they did not notice at first that previous mods had made me a new account Cat Wink

 

Oh I also got my replacement SIM in mail today as well

 

So we are working towards solving my issues, nearly there Cat Wink

The person who took my number called me (big mistake ha ha ha)

 

I'm really not sure why they wanted my number at all (I mean I know it's good and all, but every single call in or out would have been long distance)

Maybe they have family in another part of the province or something
