I’m confused what you do if you want a second phone number with a different plan. Can this be set up with your current account? Or do you need to set this up with a separate email address. Its for my dad who also uses public mobile and since he is grandfathered into old rewards plan, it would be nice if he could use the same account.

Currently there is a promotion offering three times points back for the next 12 months. So instead of 5% back in points new customers will receive 15% back in points. When calculated compared to the $2 auto pay every plan benefits as the lowest plan the $15 plan will receive back 2.25 (=$2.25) points for the next 12 months.
Points can be redeemed for bill credits of $15 or redeemed for discounted add-ons that are 25% to 50% cheaper than purchasing them. If of is your dad plans on keeping the account for a couple years I suggest keeping your points if at all possible banked in your rewards account for the next 12 months to maximize points earning. Only redeem after the 12 months and the promotion ends.

@esjliv sorry, new rewards system has 5% Points back instead of $2. If you have plan >$40, you will get more that way
(all new activation now will be on the new rewards system)

@christinand - No you do not.
With any activations after January 25, 2022 there was no more Autopay (edit, I should clarify...Autopay REWARD of $2, there is still Autopay available just not the perk of the reward) option, and the New Rewards was the only option after that date.

Why does he have to lose old rewards @christinand ?
If your mom can activate a new sim card and account with a unique email, but she will be on the new rewards system.
Sorry, maybe I am missing something or not understanding.

You can have all the accounts you want. I don't know of any devices with more than 2 sims but you can line up all the phones with sims and have all the accounts you want.
I have 2 Public sims in one phone (well I would if something was working like it used to) where I use one primarily for talk and text and the other primarily for data.

@christinand - so you want your dad to have 2 different plans? How come?
You can change plans without getting automatically changed to the new Public Points rewards system, if that was your concern. Joining Public Points takes a few steps, but it is separate actions and you need to agree to terms and conditions and such.
So go ahead and change your dad's plan, unless you meant he has a grandfathered plan also, he wanted to keep.

@christinand PM is one account one phone line, no family account concept. So, just use a new email address to create a new account for the new line

Each phone number will be a separate account with a separate sim. You'll need a unique email address as well. You can use the same credit card though.
