Is there anything that can be purchased to cover roaming charges in Mexico? If not, have people travelled there and what did roaming end up costing them?

Hey @Margie21
My neighbor went to Mexico a month ago and got one of these.
https://www.airalo.com/mexico-esim
Pretty cheap. She downloaded TextNow and picked a local number here in the Peg and used that to call back and forth and text. This way she didn't have to lose her really cheap account by switching over to a Can/US/Mex account.

@Margie21, on a recent trip to Europe I was able to get by using the hotel's wifi and WhatsApp and Facebook's Messenger app. Email is also available over wifi. If you can't get by with Wifi then local SIM or travel SIM will be your only option

hi @Margie21
add to it
But what plan you have now? Beware that if you just need the roaming for one month, you might not be able to change back to your current plan.
So, for short term use, i would choose travel esim or local data sim card

@Margie21 .picking CAN/US /MEX plan would cover you while in Mexico , but be aware if you on lower priced plan then those MEX roaming plans you most likely won’t be able to switch back to old plan . So if MEX is one off trip might be better to get travel sim or local sim in MEX for your trip

HI @Margie21
sorry, no roaming addon for Mexcio. So,you will have to use join Canada/US/Mexcio plan if you need the roaming service there
