I purchased a 15 day US add-on when I entered the US 2 days ago. I realized afterwards that this wasn't necessary as I have the $34 Canada/US subscription. Can I please get a refund?

Thank you to those who provided solution suggestions! And thank you to Public for my credit!!

In my view they are absolutely entitled to a refund. The system should be smart enough to block that purchase because it's effectively incompatible with their current plan. I would start by nicely asking, but if needed I would push back pretty hard on this one. There's no way the system should allow that.

How can I request and submit a ticket to request a credit?

I agree that this is a mistake on the part of the customers, but there is never any guarantee that a customer support agent will have a refund issued. Anything such as this is handled on a case by case basis.

Just contact a CS_Agent by clicking on Chat bubble and type in Submit a Ticket or Contact Agent and explain. They will get back to you in the morning as they are off right now.
