I've been with Public for a week and had a challenging time getting it set up, but it's been great since - except this. How do I get this to work again?

Just an FYI: To reply to certain members tap the "@" and if the members name doesn't pop up just start typing out their username for it to pop up and tap on.

@Katie_12 , check out this google help article on fixing RCS. I would start with editing the phone number associated with RCS.
I had a bit of an issue with RCS after a number change a while back. What I did that worked was to delete messages app data. I did not touch carrier services. If you are concerned about losing the message history, there are apps available to save and restore SMS. I used this app for the backup and restore.

sorry @Katie_12 , I am not Marie
and Google Message can be installed, it is not part of the OS image
if you cannot uninstall, just go to the app details, clear cache and Clear data, reboot and try again

Is your data working properly? Need active and working data for RCS messaging to work properly.
Maybe try a reboot of your phone (if not done already) and then a network reset of phone (note: this will erase any saved Wifi password settings).

Hey Marie, I don't think I can uninstall messages? It's the Google sms that comes with the phone as a default app

HI @Katie_12
please remove the screenshot as it shows the phone number, you don't want the community members to call you 🙂
I suggest you uninstall Google Message and reboot the phone and reinstall, that will fix the problem
