Port out without SMS confirmation

Hello,

 

I need to port out my number but I do not have access to SMS (out of country). How can I proceed?

Yes, my PM is active. Fongo responded Your request has been sent to your current carrier. Other Texts are coming through.

HI @cellphonesaver   usually you should get a text within an hour

 

But, porting into VoIP could be slightly longer.  Make sure your PM account is active and you can get text without problem.  Wait a full day and first contact Fongo and ask them if they send the request yet.  if they did, then you can ask them to send again

Hi, I initiated port out FROM Public Mobile to Fongo today but did not receive text message from Public Mobile.

Do you guys know how long it's gonna take when and what should be responded?

In this type of case, the porting of the phone number to the new carrier would fail as the text message from Public Mobile will not be responsed to.  Ultimately, Public Mobile would have to release the phone number usuing some type of manual method inititated by the Public Mobile CSA.

That won't work ats the customer has stated that the text message from Pubic Mobile to authorize the port out can't be received.

Better to port out when you are back in Canada. Lot easier and faster to port out.
