Please help - problems porting, 2nd day, no incoming calls or text

Please help me. I just ported my number from CityFone last night and now i can call out but no incoming calls are coming in. Just goes straight to voice mail. Incoming texts are also not working.

Data seems to be okay. Please help, i depend on my phone for work and family.

I activated my sim with my current cell# on nov 2 and it only fully ported on nov 6, that would be 4 days. According to PM, since CityFone is a reseller, it takes longer.

May I know how long you have to wait for the fully port complete? I wait for almost 48 hrs and still awaiting for MOD private message reply😭😭

Hi everyone. Just wanted to say I'm fully operational now after some hiccups at the start. Now I can sit back and enjoy my new plan. Thank you everyone that responded to my sos call. Much appreciated. 🙂

What at about failed activations that have nothing to do with ports?  Where we can't log in even because our account was never properly created but we were billed.  And yes I've private messaged the moderators almost 48 hours ago.

I'm sorry your port is taking long to complete 😕 

 

Since CityFone is a reseller, they usually take longer to answer to port requests. However, if you're still having issues after Monday, send @Mary_M@Shazia_K, or @Caroline_D a private message with the number you want to port - as I won't be here this Monday - and they will assist you! 

*Please do not post private info such as: phone number, account number, pin etc.. This is a public forum.

Did my wife's port last night, took 5 minutes from Eastlink to PM. Tried mine 9 hours ago from Eastlink and still no luck.

The porting process is not an all or nothing thing. Things start to work slowly along the progression of the port. You will receive a text message not an email. Once you get that message everything will work.

hi , i never got an email telling me that my number was ported , i was able to call almost inmediately , my data was fast too, i had to reboot my phone and was able to receive calls everything in less than an hour, next day i phoned my exprovider to make sure my account was closed

Yes you probably have not gotten the text saying the porting was fully complete yet. Just wait for this text. Sometimes it can take up to 3 days depending on the provider your with.
