Plan Expired

Why is my account status displaying "Plan Expired” today. My service is also not working. Things were good yesterday.

@Treicpe   Glad it is working.  Enjoy your trip

A reminder, with you manually selected another provider in US, make sure you change it back to manual selection of Public Mobile (or Automatic) when you are back in Canada

Thanks to everyone for responding so quickly. The Plan Expired message is gone with the autopay payment made today. Restarting the phone and resetting network got the service working again.

Yes, that is a scary status.  I always say it should just say Plan Expiring   🙂

Sounds good. Thanks

@Treicpe   Automatic could be a source of the issue. Try it and try in different area

And yes, some area could have better signal on one provider but not the other.  So, try both and see which one connects and which one connects better.

Thanks. Manual connection has not been tried yet. Can try that. We did travel today so perhaps the connection got lost in transit?

@Treicpe   Your Plan Expired has nothing to do with your connection.

Plan Expired because your plan will be renewed tomorrow.  PM will flag accounts as Plan Expired around 6pm the night before renewal.  It will change back to Active after the renewal, early morning tomorrow or close to noon

So, no worry about plan expired.  Just focus on connecting to T-Mobile or AT&T

So, which roaming addon you got?  Talk? Text? Data? or Combo?

@Treicpe   the Plan Expired should not matter.

I think it is just an issue with your connection in US.

Did you try BOTH AT&T and T-Mobile and see if you can connect any of the two?

Try to connect Manually and not rely on Automatic

Did you try to connect in different area ?

The US roaming add on was purchased. It had 6 days left and was working this morning. Service stopped this afternoon and the Plan Expired message appeared.

@Treicpe  roaming?  are you in US?

if you are roaming and you don't have roaming add-on , you won't have service

The last plan payment was 30 April.

I am roaming right now and can do limited troubleshooting. Cannot call 611. No other phones to try.

If it is tomorrow, then you should still have service. Renewal is is eastern time so you should still be good right now. Can you reboot your phone and maybe reset network settings.

@Treicpe   yes, that will be tomorrow..   So, it shouldn't be payment issue

Try to reboot your phone.

If fails but you have another phone around, put the SIM there to text.  Or if you don't have another phone, try to reseat the SIM (power off, take sim out for a minute and put it back in and power up).

If still fails, check if your phone is connecting to the network or not.  what message on the phone status on top?

Usually Plan Expired can be ignore as long as the service is not interrupted.   Plan Expired usually just mean your account is going through renewal

However, since your service is not working, please check and confirm if your new renewal date supposed to be tomorrow or today?

Or can you check your My Account's Transaction log to confirm when was the last payment date?

@Treicpe

If your renewal date is today and you are on autopay and you have no services it is probably due to an autopay failure. If this is the case, log into self service and go to the Payment tab and make a payment for the cost of your plan. Choose other from the drop down menu when making the payment.Choose reactivate if there is that option,

@Treicpe  hi was today your renewal date? are you on autopay ?

Do you know when your last renewal date was? If your renewal was supposed to happen today and payment failed, that woild explain service not working.
