Picture messaging

Kristagray
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

My picture messaging is not working. I am new to Public mobile as of today. I've tried sending a picture through text and it will not work.

My number is all transfered over now and that seems to be the only thing not working as of right now.

@Kristagray

MMS texts do not send over wifi you must have your data enabled (on) in order to send or recieve MMS. If you are on a low data plan you can keep your data off until you recieve or want to send a MMS text. Turning your data on will allow you to download the incoming MMS or send the outgoing MMS.

@Kristagray yes, even in wifi areas.

No worries though, sending and receiving MMS texts will not use up your Data allotment.

So simply enable your Data each time you want to send or receive MMS texts.

Ensure the MMS setting is enabled as well.

Hi @Kristagray Welcome to Public Mobile!

Check out these 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Restart your device
Step 2: Make sure you have data service enabled and your device “data is turned ON”
Step 3: Check your device settings

Please keep us posted

@Kristagray   You need your data enabled (on) to send and receive MMS.  Edit:  Also you'll need to have the correct APN settings on your phone.

Make sure Mobile Data is toggled 'ON' in your phone's connections settings.

Then, you will be able to send and receive MMS messages.

You may also want to turn off any Chat or iMessage settings which may be in place (whether using Android or iPhone) - those tend to create some issues of SMS being hit or miss with some users when in or out of Wi-Fi zones.
