Phone order cancelled as PM suspects fraudulent

So 3 family members use public mobile for years now...  Trying to order 2 used phones and Public Mobile cancelled order (Wife's phone old iphone 7 glitching and 15 year old has decided to replace old hand me down...  

I was told to post here...  also it would be really nice to split payment (son has a $300 Visa Gift card the parents of the hockey team bought him for helping coach this season)

Hi @thedjjack   glad you found the solution in the end.

For the CPO phone, should be find.  In the worst case, you have 30 days to return for full refund.  🙂

Order went through got confirmation email...  Next day got a cancellation email saying fraudulent transaction suspected no explanation recommending I use the community to solve.. 

Opened a CS Agent ticket they thought I wanted confirmation on cancellation, but then figured out I was trying to buy to phones.  Only option presented was order again with matching addresses or different card...  (Never had an issue as my Postal Code is the same just a different box number in same town)...

Hope the reconditioned phones are decent after all this. 🙂

When you first order, it didn't error out from the mismatch of the addresses?  It only send you an email to cancel your order after?

And how you found out in the end?  After opening ticket with CS Agent?

Turns out the problem is Public Mobile must have billing address match shipping address.  In all my online ordering to my little remote community this has never been a problem with anyone else...  I live in a town so small everyone has the same postal code and all mail goes to mail boxes in the same post office.  Difference between my home address and work address is only the PO Box number..

Solution was to reorder the phones and ship to my billing address (not as convenient)...

It would be nice if Public Mobile since it is a very online service would update their online services LOL..

Public Mobile's online store has always accepted Paypal and when going through the checking process to purchase a CPO phone, Paypal is fully advertised as a payment option.

 @computergeek541 , @darlicious : I was on mobile and wanted to help out on that question and got to the addressing screen and stopped bothering. Now on desktop, there's the Paypal button.

If so....add the visa gift card to your PayPal account and purchase the phone thru PayPal. The fraud alert can be coming from your card issuer. Call them and confirm you are making two phone purchases from pm so that they will allow the transactions.

HI @thedjjack , Oh, that could be a Visa Giftcard issue.  With Visa Giftcard, it has to be able to cover the full cost.  If it cannot, even in retails, you have to tell exactly how much on the giftcard and break it down into 2 transactions.   Obviously PM does not have the system setup for this.        That's why I don't really like Visa GC.  Very trouble if you have small leftover in the card

Problem with the gift card is it only covers part of the order (even for one phone) so no option for split payment (problem when no customer service for purchases)...  but I still like my reduced costs of not having that service (like someone said I will be using it to buy groceries) 🙂 THANKS EVERYONE

Since the order is canceled would you be willing to try buying one today and then buying one tomorrow. Seems silly I know. And you should be able to use a gift card. The name and address aren't registered so you can put in anything. Maybe match it to the destination name and address.

I order 2 phones and payed with my personal Credit Card

I got an email saying cancelled due to suspect fraudulent transaction and post here for help.

(I would have liked to use sons Gift Visa Card but no way to do a practical payment)

If you tried to use VISA gift card, most likely that was the reason due to 'fraudulent transaction'. With all scams going around where scammers request gift cards, no wonder...

Try to reorder again using Real credit card (yours) and use visa gift card in a store or grocery stores just to get rid of it.

Hi @thedjjack Someone contacted you about your phone order being cancelled?  They told you the cancelled it because  they have problem with the payment gift card?   And they asked to you to come and post questions here?

If you are certain the order was cancelled, try to put in again.  I believe Visa gift card is accepted.  Of course, you might want to try your own credit card and likely it will be easier.  I always find using Visa gift card a bit confusing with the address or name thing.
