When you sign up with your credit card for a plan, is it automatic or do you have to go and make a payment monthly. If you have to make payments, when is it best to pay a week before to ensure no loss of service.

@noah12  Your plan will stay the same price if you chose the $36 50GB plan it will remain that price . You will get 5% back on plan spend in points and 10 points once a year on your anniversary and you will get 1 point every 30 days for each friend refferal you have . And once you have 15 points you can redeem $15 off your bill . But your base plan price will remain the same until you decide to change plans

HI @noah12

if you don't change your plan, your plan price won't change.

We rarely see any price increase here.  We had only 2 or 3 plans that price changed.  The last one was around 2 years ago and it was only the lowest plan $10 got changed to $13

your plan should be safe for now, probably for many years 🙂

I should have sad 2 questions. The Plan is 36.00 today, what happens when it goes up to 39.00 next month does your plan price go up too 39.00, or does your plan always remain 36.00

@noah12  Once you make payment you will have option to transfer number , just use old providers  account number and ignore the IMEI it’s not needed

leaving old providers SIM card in the phone to to reply YES to the confirmation text to port

that’s it and once your old providers sim stops working put the PM SIM card in phone and reboot the device

hi @noah12

if you activate and request port, then yes, after you done activation, PM will send a port request to the old carrier.  The old carrier will then send you a text to ask for your approval.  You need to reply Yes within 90 mins

One last question when you use the app to activate, does it automatically port your number from the previous provider once you hit activate

Nope...but in the activation process, you'll be given opportunity to port in, if you wish to.

@noah12  You will be automatically enrolled onto subscribe and the plan will renew on its own . You can turn this off if you want to cancel and not take number with you

Turn auto subscribe off/on

HI @noah12

the signup already set the payment to be autopay.  So, you don't have to worry

if you don't like autopay , you can ask PM to remove the credit card and pay by voucher.. Get voucher from Shoppers Drug Mart.  Then load the voucher couple days before renewal.  (remember PM is using a 30 days cycle, not monthly, renewal date is not the same date of each month)
