Just wondering when you're out of data days before autopay, can you pay your bill early and get the data reset or do I have to wait until it resets?

I haven’t brought it up for awhile but I wonder why they can’t simply make your existing plan available on the list of plans that we can change to early? Just seems like such a logical thing to do… give the option of renewing early to replenish whatever we have run out of early on the Change Plan screen. Make it DIY.
The only glitch is that renewing early does mess up rewards for one cycle but I understand that since having not completed 30 days we aren’t really eligible to receive the rewards. And this glitch would happen no matter what plan we are switching to early anyway.

@Meow : I agree with your indignation but in this case, an option is to renew early by way of asking the mods.
You could add indignation against the company for not allowing early renewals by way of self-serve if you like.

@Meow that s is incorrect. Mods will renew an existing plan early, if there are funds in the account to cover cost of plan. Plan changes can be done in selfserve early renewals (same plan) done by CS agent.

Excuse me, but what contacting MODs have to do with with OP question????
Why some people always refer to MODs? MODs are here to resolve really tough issues regarding accounts or PM service issues not to answer question Community can help with.
Simple answer to OP's inquiry is: No, paying earlier will not reset your data counter. Wait until renewal date or purchase data add-on or change plan having more data.

Paying bill earlier will not give you more data. If you are out of data you can purchase add-on or go for 'change plan immediately' selecting plan with more data allotment.
If you expect to need more data in the future, I would suggest to select new plan change at the next billing cycle to avoid potential hiccups.

Another option is to do an immediate plan change if you think this will be a common occurrence and are willing to change from your current plan.
With early renewal or immediate plan changes any time /data remaining on plan are lost and not prorated/ refunded.

You can either buy some data add-ons to tide you over until renewal or ask Customer Service for early renewal.

first: make a payment, if needed, so that Available Funds = plan cost (NOTE: no rewards can be applied, only Available Funds)
- second: submit a ticket requesting the early renewal.
Here’s when and how to contact our Customer Support Agents:
Other option would be to purchase an add-on for 1 GB for $15 which will remain in your account until it is used up.
