Hi, i am currently looking for a 4G plan when i arrive to Quebec Canada next week.
I am bringing my Oneplus Nord N200 5G with me.
I have however read thats phones in Canada use Volte and in other companies I have seen so far, when your device isnt in the list of Volte available units, they can sometimes downgrade your device to 3G, or just not work.
I wanted to ask, just in case, if my device isnt Volte compatible, and i buy a 4G plan for Public Mobile, will it get downgraded to 3G or stay in 4G without Volte?
Im just worried because aparrently 3G will die out on 2025.

Just wondering what model One Plus do you have?

HI @Gonza
first, I won't be too worry about the end of 3G at 2025. An insider posted here mentioned that the date will be postponed
With the 3G, yes, your voice will drop to 3G when needed, but data will still use 5G network. So, you don't have to worry about slow data

the downgrade to 3G is just for voice, not for data. Your data will still be on 5G or 4G , only when voice calls is made, then the system will drop to 3G
