I cannot switch from my current $15- plan to the new $19- plan. I have a sim card but it's refused…

I currently have the $15 plan and when I look at available plans in the menu...I can select the $19 plan...it is not just for new activation. Another family member also has the $15 plan and he too, can select that $19 plan as available. Try logging in to your account on the app > Manage Subscription > Change Subscription...then scroll down to the bottom of the menu to see that $19 plan is definitely available. You can select to Change Plan Now OR Change on Renewal.

Thanks, it's good to find someone who knows that stuff. So, should l cancel my current plan first, or join the new plan with a new SIM, then cancel my old subscription?

Yes eSIM will work if your phone is eSIM compatible. If not, only option is a SIM.

Thank you. What a pain this is. I am upgrading to a more expensive plan. You'd think they'd make it easy. Can l get an eSIM , it's cheaper l think?

You need need to port out to another carrier then port back if you want to keep your old number…big hassle. You can’t port from PM to PM.
Or if you don’t care to keep the old number. You will need to purchase a new SIM and active/create a new account and pick a new number.

The fine print indicates this plan is for new activations (3rd bullet) and not for existing members.

Looks like system does not accept existing sim card and tells me it's not valid, so l cannot switch plans.

@Col42- Are you saying that the $19 plan does not show up as an option when you go into change subscription? Usually all higher priced plans are available - especially when you are currently on the $15 plan.
