In setting up account(s) I failed to recognize that all accounts are individual, so I set up my first account associated to all of my information, but ported one of my children's numbers over. I have since corrected my account to only my number, but I am now having issue porting that number to her account. Please help me correct my ignorant mistake

Kind of tricky situation...
So you ported kid's number to newly opened PM account, correct? In that case kid's account is closed wherever it was.
Somehow you assigned YOUR number to that new account, correct? Then kid's account is gone.
If you want to move PM account to somewhere else your PM account will be immediately closed.
Each PM account is independent. But if you have opened TWO PM accounts and both numbers are at PM but at 'different accounts' Maybe, just maybe agent could swap numbers.
Open a ticket and try to explain agent what do you want to do with your numbers...

If you ported your kid’s number to your account. Their number will override your number. So a CS_Agent will fix it for you before you loss your number.
BTW, we are all members like you on this Community Forum so we can’t fix it for you.

trouble is...you can't transfer numbers between Public Mobile accounts. See if Customer Support can help. Click the orange bubble on lower right side of page to start the process.

yes, some made the same mistake but no worries, PM support can fix it
submit a ticket with CS Agent using Chatbot here:
