I tried shutting the phone off and on, pulling the SIM card tray out and putting back in several times. my software on my phone is completely up to date. I don't have access to another phone to try the SIM card in there. What should I try next?

You should also check the last 4 digits of your SIM card. Check your self servcie account and change SIM card option. It should show the last 4 digits. Make sure it matches your physical SIM card in your phone. If it does not match, let us know right away. Potential SIM card swap fraud issue.

What kind of phone. It is possible...in some phones.....to insert the SIM improperly.
Especially if your SIM card is behind a replaceable battery.

@Borgius NO SIM error more to do with a faulty SIM or device SIM slot issue
really have to get a test phone to try the SIM or get another SIM to test the device. Any chance you can get it from a friend to try it out?

i suggest you can try it for a different Browser
and clear cache and cookies for any Browser,
and use a Browser from your computer,
use Browser microsoft edge or chrome latest version
and just make sure your Browser is up to date update
sometime is the Browser is not update is give a issue.
and Restart your computer, is will help.
and if you use a home internet please do one thing take it your power internet for about a minute and put it back,
and you can try to Remove your credit card and Logout and after 2 minutes
log in to re entered.

what is mean for Rebooting the phone means to turn off your phone about 2 minutes and turn it back on.

Current customer for about a year. Account status says active, my last payment went through etc.

More details please. Are you a new customer activating or are you a current customer and your phone is not working. If the latter have you logged into self service to see the account status? Is it Active?
