New Tweaked $29 Plan

kb_mv

Just noticed a new Can-US-Mex plan, $29/20GB 5G, no LD minutes. It of course doesn't show in my account but it's certainly an interesting mix of money and 5G data and roaming.Screenshot 2024-12-28 at 4.37.32 PM.png

So nice of you to Explain this. I am glad to hear from someone who has experienced Public mobile service.

Now only US roaming is included in $29 plan and they removed Mexico from the plan. I guess there won't be any surprises for calling or using data within  10GB limits whiling travelling to USA?

@Samy555  I’m just customer like you , but you can confirm the plan you have by going to the payment tab in your account for the details . But I’m assuming you have the $2910GB CAN /US /MEX plan and with it you can call to and from all 3 countries using talk text and data with no extra charge I have the 75GB $35 CAN/US /MEX plan and can use in all 3 countries with out issue and no need to buy add on

@Samy555 check here in account to verify (payment page )

Hi Handy1

Thanks for clarifying this. Are you an agent of Public mobile or a customer?
Just making sure Does  $29 includes 10GB data and unlimited calls to US and Canada when roaming within US and Canada?

Hello Friends.
How is the connectivity in US? 5G or 4G? Any experiences you want to share?

@Samy555  Those add on are there for people that don’t have US roaming as part of their plan and want to travel to the U.S. and have roaming , so if you have Canada US , Mex plan you don’t need that yourself to travel south . No worries

I am new to Public mobile and impressed by seeing features of $29 plan. However, I bit confused by seeing US roaming charges in this plan's Top add-ons. Plan shows roaming included in US and Canada Nationwide then why US roaming charges mentioned in add-on?

hi @Warner1

no 90 days option

90 days option only being offered sometimes and not all the time.  Currently, there is no 90 days option for any plan

Does this new $29 plan also have a 90 day option?

@hairbag1  And @Garrydhesa  since I already have Telus line with MEX roaming and the $35 plan with MEX roaming I think I’m gonna keep my 60GB $75 90 day option as I like the price of it and I think it’s still great value . And I mostly use that sim for a iPad . So think I’d rather save the $48 a year with that plan and if in need buy add one day it’s only $15 so I think we best to keep that 60GB $75 90 plan @Garrydhesa

@Handy1

gonna be in sunny Mexico or Trumpland this winter...if so, take that new $29 / 30 day plan with service in Canada / US and Mx.

I am in the same Dilemma as well. Should I stay with $75 for 60GB for 3 months plan or switch to this one. 😞

@kb_mv  I see this 20GB $29 MEX roaming availed in my one account that is on the 60GB $75 90 day 4g plan . And on the fence about changing to it . Seems like I should considering before this plan came out I didn’t have the 10GB $29MEX plan  available in this account just the 10GB for $25 available. So it’s now or never it seems but the 60GB for $75 90 days working out to $25 a month even though only 4G and no roaming is good value you too . Not sure what I should do PM has me second guessing myself and I don’t like that I prefer to see clear no brainer better value move . In this case I’m not sure what I should do . What would you and @hairbag1 do in that case change to it or keep what I got I need feed back to help me decide as time running out (yikes)

@hairbag1 Unfortunately I don't see in my app but yes there are two different ones. I was on the $34/50 US/can/Mex, both now switched to the 75GB version. I probably could make due with one of my accounts on the 20GB plan but alas......
