I was looking at the plans today and I noticed a new plan. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall them having the $30 500MB 3G data, Unlimited Talk + Text plan before. The cheapest data plan was $35 for 1GB on 3G.
Is this new?

@will13am, I wanted a Quebec Videotron package ages ago when various streaming audio services were zero-rated with them.
What a dream!

I sit at my computer, it shows me BC normally as my region when looking at the main Public Mobile page, but I only rarely change it to my actual ON location. It changes itself back all the time.
It might be detecting where it thinks your ip is from but more likely a cookie is planted for it to remember your region of choice.
The site does not use IP to determine region. Whatever was selected last and saved via cookie is used. The weird and wonderful thing is that if you switch to a different link within the Public Mobile portal, the region can change. No offence, the web master needs some lessons in his craft.

This service is one of the few that does not employ regional pricing. That is good for those in AB/BC/ON who don't have a fourth carrier option to push the competition envelope.

Thanks for all your replies.
It's positive that PM is coming out with more options (old or not)!

I’m in BC and that plan has been around since I’ve been with PM (late June). The plans are always changing though, with new promotions, etc, But I’m pretty sure that one has been around for a while.

The pricing for some plans have gone down with time. The way it is, if you don't do a plan change, you stay on the old pricing.

Where's your region? I'm in Ontario.
I would have remembered a plan like that because I was looking for one for my family member in the past couple of months.

I think the $30 500MB has been around for quite some time now. At least since the summer or late spring.
My nephew is on that plan and he signed up first or 2nd week of July
