Hi All,
Just wondering if this has happened to anybody else. and if its true that I will loose my reward discount if I try and change back to the $15 plan. I never responded YES to any upgrade texts.
Feels like they didn't like I had $8 off every month and was only paying $7 so switched plans on me.
I hope it's just a mistake and can be corrected.
Thanks!

I received the text awhile back and never replied with YES either. Plan didn’t change for me.
Best to contact a CS_Agent to investigate for you.

HI@toddstar_2000 first, you won't loss reward if you switch back. The warning is about activation bonus
The reason why you are now on a $40 plan was because you accidentally replied YES to a PM text
PM has been sending promotion sms about its $40 plan, all people need to do is to reply YES to change, and you replied YES by mistake
You can try to submit ticket with PM agent, explain what happened, we saw agent able to help to switch it back to old plan, as long as the $40 plan was only used for couple days and not many data were used
Open ticket at : https://publicmobile.ca/chatbot.
First type Contact,
then select the only choice there: "Contact..",
from the list of , choose "Other"
finally click link the blue link about submit a ticket
Another page will open and just follow: .
After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM
If you have problems submitting a ticket, you can open ticket by private message (but this can take longer):

Highly unlikely PM switched your plan just in spite of your low bill.
There are many people who pay $0 per month due to different activities and rewards and nobody complained so far.
It is possible that you (or whoever has access to your phone) replied Yes on one of the promo SMS PM was sending a while ago.
If you think PM made mistake, contact agent to resolve this issue.
Changing plans will NOT remove your discounts as they are tied up with your account and not plan.
