Just got a follow up text to an email from a few days ago. It seems like certain PM users are receiving offers to switch to Koodo to benefit from a new device (Pixel 9)  Although im not interested personally, thought I’d point it out to others who might be. If you didn’t get a text, check your email. 🙂

This one looks OK - What do people think?

@ORNGNBLK  Yes anything possible , I remember my first plan with public mobile was $40 5GB plan and I had migration offer from Koodo for $40 8GB and took the offer as at the time I only had the public mobile line less then a year and data was expensive then and I thought I can’t wait 5 years to save $7 on old legacy rewards and eventually came back and waiting 5 years to get old $legacy reward perk and no as we all know don’t exist anymore . So all that to say I’m not sure it was even worth it after my first departure , but I can say one thing for sure if I ever leave public mobile I won’t ever come back again a third time 😕

@Handy1   I had a $19 plan that will change to $18 next cycle. Part of me thinks that Koodo is trying to sway PM users to convert so Telus can make more $ per user, while the other part of me wonders if PM is trying to push away those low $ plan payers for the same results.  If I think about it… I’m overthinking it 😉

@Yummy  I think yes tab is 2 years of if I remember correctly. Been so long since I had tab/ contract or anything like that . Well maybe next time public mobile hikes are new $18 plan Koodo will send us a more attractive offer then this time 🤞

I am on a $34 plan and got the text.

@Handy1  - Yeah it looks like $15 is targeted as I got it too...

How long is 'tab'? Somebody mentioned this offer is locked for 2 years? Meaning at the end you will pay 1240.08+tax for a plan you do not need and phone you do not want? And if 'tab' is longer then - good luck.

@ORNGNBLK  I got this text offer 10 mins ago too on $15 plan line wonder if thats the target group , saw another member ask about this same offer couple days ago and not sure they plan they were on they were just interested in if it was real or not , so clearly it is . I’m assuming you got it on $15 plan line?

@IncredibleAlan  If you got the text/email there was a phone number to call for more info and a prom code to mention.  They may be flexible with the deal if you are willing to switch and may be able to negotiate to obtain a 5G plan.  No Guarantee but maybe worth inquiring

I got it and googled for more info and found this thread.  It says a 4G plan does that mean I can't get 5G?

Is there a URL at PM or Koodoo with more info?

thanks @ORNGNBLK

The great thing for PM is BYOD.  If anyone need a device from carrier, they would have gone.  Not sure how many will be gone just because of the text
