I am switching from another provider and want to keep my current phone number

First check if your number is eligible to port:

Then open PM account, pick any number and confirm all services work as expected.
Then initiate number transfer; keep OLD SIM in your phone to reply YES on SMS from OLD provider. If everything works well in few hours you will have number ported to PM.

you can likely able to port your phone number, but please confirm your number is eligible to port into PM (it is a Koodo site because both Koodo and PM use the same Telus system):

Also, make sure your old provider account is still active. Login to your old provider account and make note of the account number as you need this when you request porting
and when you are ready to activate, remember to download Public Mobile app and use it for activation
