Is autopay disabled after transferring to another carrier?

dodobird

I just transferred my account (phone number) to another carrier. I just realized that I did not turn off autopay before doing the switch. I can no longer access my account to turn it off. Is autopay disabled automatically in this case?

Transferring service to another provider causes PM account to be deleted forever.

Nevertheless there were occasions where card info was lingering about and people were somehow charged.
I would suggest to ask agent to remove - delete your card details before you transfer number.

@dodobird

The only circumstance where you might be charged again is if you were about to have a cycle renewal at the time of porting out - otherwise, so long as your port was completely successful to the new provider (i.e. ALL services work, in & out calling and texting), you are most likely fine.

You might want to request Public Mobile remove your payment card completely from their records just so you can be certain any breach which may occur down the road doesn't impact you.   Not that a breach is common - just in case.

Use the contact method @hTideGnow outlined to reach them.
