TRANSFER SERVICE WEEKS AFTER THOUGHT IT HAD BEEN DONE

Ilandr_99
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Switched to Public Mobile in October and it appears after getting a $112 bill from previous carrier Bell that there was an error in transferring service. eSIM has been downloaded. Went to iPhone store yesterday and they removed physical Bell SIM card that was still in the phone. Made 2 calls apparently through Public Mobile without any problem but since I called Bell to insure service was cancelled with them I can no longer able to make outgoing or receive incoming calls. HELP . . . How do I get my Public Mobile service working and is it possible to migrate my Bell phone number over to Public Mobile at this late date?

@Ilandr_99  In your phone settings check the sim manger and ensure you toggle on  “turn in this line “ and reset network settings couple times if needed

Toggle on “turn on this line”

As per the information provided by the customer, the number was never ported to Public Mobile.

You can port an eligible number from Bell Mobility, but only as long as the Bell service is still active and only if the phone number is from a city that both Bell and Telus offer phone numbers for.  Assuming that the number is eligible for porting to Public Mobile, you'll need to contact Bell again to reactivate the service.  There's no point in contacting Public Mobile at this point because an inactive phone number cannot be brought here.  Public Mobile's customer support agents cannot override that.
