I switched to Public on December 31st using an eSIM and transferring my phone number from Bell to use with Public. Doing this, my phone number has been stuck on "verifying" through imessage and facetime. It has been a few days now and I have tried every troubleshooting tip with no success. I contacted an agent and they told me to speak with apple to try and fix it so I did and they told me to talk to my carrier to fix it. I am at a complete stand still with no idea how to fix this issue. Thankfully I can text using my email though.
Everything works with the data and porting process besides the phone number although I can still receive phone calls which is strange. I know this has been an issue for quite a few so hopefully a fix can come my way!

Today, they sent a new guy to handle the issue. Once again, he suggested I switch to a physical SIM card since we had already failed with three eSIM cards. However, I believed the problem wasn’t related to the card installation because calls and data were working fine. I told the agent I didn’t want to waste another SIM card and asked him to find an alternative solution. After he adjusted the settings and refreshed the network, iMessage finally started working again. I haven’t even turned off or restarted my phone, and it’s already back to normal.

I have tried 2 more new eSIM. But there’s always a spinning gear with my number

I have not.
I spoke with a senior tech advisor at apple and he told me to keep my data on and have "send as text message" on as well and just wait up to 48 hours to see if it fixes itself

hi @Apple99 have you try this:
Reboot the phone and Reset Network Settings
if that does not work, go to Settings , Phone number and remove it and reboot phone again, then go back to the same Setting page and put the number back to re register.

Do a backup first. Go to your Apple account>iCloud>iCloud backup then Sign Out and Sign back in.

My friend had the same issue on his iPhone 13. He got it working by logging out on his Apple account and logged back in and check if his number in Cellular settings.

unfortunately none of those made any changes. After trying all of those, it still tells me "An error occurred during activiation"

hi @NickWarga this is a problem with Apple
easy fix is to first reboot the phone and Reset Network Settings
if that does not work, go to Settings , Phone number and remove it and reboot phone again
Zthen go back to the same Setting page and put the number back to re register.
