Also, let's remember the OP is questioning service from OUTSIDE of Canada (in the USA).
Sadly, none of the xmas freebies, this year or last year, will work outside of Canada.

Can I just observe that the user being questioned is being decent and conversational rather than their previous fighting over everything. I want to recognize that. This showed in an earlier thread as well. If we could foster that without being fully confrontational then all would be well.
Edit: And I'll probably fail on this from time to time too but I just wanted to publicly state my observation.

Good question @Ericsparrow56 , however unfortunately not.
You may wish to download a calling app to use VoIP, like Fongo or many others, which will allow you to call FREE from international destinations with just a wi-fi connection.

@Anonymous , your first post is really not necessary, it in fact will confuse OP more. You didn't say anything for and just ask OP to check that, it gives other the wrong impression that those Long Distance minutes could be used to call from US

@Anonymous : That's not what was asked. That thread mentions US and Canada. Not how add-ons work.

No, you cannot use the normal addons OUTSIDE of Canada.
Roaming adddons are for use whilst you are in the USA.
