Out of curiosity, how did you come to get 4GB?  Did you purchase 4 x 1GB add ons?

While the OP is not super forthcoming with their details, it could be that they run out of their regular data and got one of those promo texts?  (Copy / paste from one of our accounts that hit the end of 5G data before the end of the plan cycle... my highlighting and brackets)

To continue enjoying {high speed} data, reply YES1 to get 1GB data for $15 or reply YES4 to get 4GB data for $40. Extra data valid for 30 days. The full add-on amount will be charged to your credit card if there are insufficient funds in your wallet. Reply STOP if you no longer wish to hear about Public Mobile offers.

Unfortunately, Public Mobile is preying on the uninformed with these texts - its a real cash grab when a plan change to the 20GB plan is $39. However, the 30day expiry is clearly mentioned.

@Gilllllll

it's best to just upgrade to a regular plan with more data rather than buying multiple data add-ons.

@Gilllllll

as others noted...data add-ons only last for 30 days. When you regular plan renews...it uses regular data also..not add-on data.

Where are they said to carry over, @Gilllllll ?

The data add on's clearly state a 30-day expiry period, both on the description page and when purchasing them.

This is a relatively new thing as of 5-6 months ago.

Yes, it sucks.

Out of curiosity, how did you come to get 4GB?  Did you purchase 4 x 1GB add ons?

@Gilllllll   Purchased data add-ons expire after 30 days.  They used to roll over but that stopped earlier this year.  What add-on did you get, I don't see a 4GB one?

@Gilllllll  Yes that used to be but with system update and eversafe back April /march this year that all changed just the long distance/international mins still roll over but not the data add ons . Best to maybe consider one of the newer plans like to 20GB $39 5G unlimited data

Unused data packs are said to carry over from month to month

@Gilllllll  Ah that’s it then data add on now expire 30 days after purchase 😞

I purchased an additional 4 GB 45 days ago. This was an addition to data only, regardless of talk minutes or messages. I used only 1.6 GB out of the 4 GB. I received a message from Public Mobile that my browsing package has ended

@Gilllllll

So did you sign up for a 30-day plan or a 90-day plan?

Do any of your calling or texting features work?

When you dial 611 from your phone, what messaging do you hear?

It's quite possible you've used your data allotment or you've gone past your cycle and it may need more funds to renew the cycle.

@Gilllllll

so it's been working (talk / text and data) up until recently ? Did your plan expire ..is it time for regular plan renewal ?

@Gilllllll  Can you try the SIM card in another phone to test . I trust you tried to reboot the phone or reset network settings . If your still having issues you can use this link to get support to investigate
