With how the current plans are currently, perhaps PM should streamline them more better

Scrap the 3G Plans as there's Only 2

Make the 4G LTE Plans more affordable

4G LTE Plans

$20 w. 500Mins Can-Wide Talk + 500MB 4G LTE Speeds + Unlim Global Txt

$30 w. 2GB w. 4G LTE Speeds +  Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt

$40 for 30 Days w. 15GB w. 4 LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $35

$50 for 30 Days w. 30GB w. 4 LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $45

$60 w. 40GB w. 4 LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option w. Unlim Data for $55

5G LTE Plans

$70 w. 50GB w. 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $65

$80 w. 55GB w. 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option w. Unlim Data for $75

Offering Occasional Awesome Promotional on Certain High-End Plans, If not Indefinite, maybe for 18 Months, 36 Months, that would perhaps help

4G LTE Speeds should be at the 150MB Speeds very least, w. 600 kbs  Throttle Speed After Data Allocation Exhausted Completely Very Least

5G LTE Speeds should be at 300MB very Least and then 1MB Throttle Speed After Data Allocation Exhausted Completely Very Least

E-Sim compatibility for E-Sim built-in Watches and other devices as well, like Tablets whether Apple, Android or Win

Video Call, Visual Voice Mail, Wi-Fi Call, thought, what IF PM could try to offer these as an Add-On as well, Like how the US Roaming Add-On works, perhaps this could be an answer as I was told these were for Postpaid Only, what if as an Add-On, Perhaps this could make these Postpaid Only Items compatible for Prepaid system

PM needs to allow where a PM Client can have 2 CC's attached, so if one card Faulters the 2nd acting as a Back-Up

Plus, Paypal ability And/ Or Apple or Google Pay ability as well

Hoping Too PM offers a Postpaid version of the Current Prepaid Format, BYOD, No Call Center, Community-Based, With Better safeguards that would prevent ppl from going Way Too Far in the Service and fees Reaching too High, Like Normal Postpaid services

@hTideGnow , Which one's you love?

Also, you never know, PM Might actually find some of these to have merit

HI  @makkahn28   Great suggestions, already want to join some of them

But PM does not make plans based on our wishes, more based on competitors' choices of plans.  So, don't have your hope high they will listen to us

@softech  What I meant was a Prepaid Card that can be reloaded

Not a Full-Fledged One, But a Prepaid One, that can help PM Clients earn extra reward Points from everyday purchases

Surely this might be something PM could/ Should potentially consider

@makkahn28 PM rewards card?? that I doubt it.  Telus does not even want to pay the credit card processing fees.  A PM rewards CC will cost them more.  Or that would certainly means the end of both the legacy and new rewards systems we have now

@makkahn28  That would be great idea too have more payment methods and earn points on top . Love that idea . We are lucky that PM doesn’t charge us percentage now for using Visa cards like Telus does now . So this would be a game changer

@makkahn28 those are definitely solid plans.  Now, you need to send it to support for your suggestions to be properly heard.

What about even a PM Prepaid MC or Visa that can be used as well to earn points as well, Like how PC Optimum does, this way, earning points even faster

@makkahn28  I definitely like this last batch of plan you suggested. I believe these would be prove to be popular and get lots of bites

@softech , What about these Suggestions?

If PM Made a Strictly Basics Plan of 800 Mins Canada-Wide Talk + Unlim Can-Wide Txt for $10

The idea of that is good, but PM basic plan now, the grandfathered one, was $13 with only 50 incoming/outgoing mintues.  I doubt price can be lower that that.

Also, PM raised the price of that $10 plan $13 last year.  With that $3 raise, some regulars already so upset that they made petition and complained through different channels.  That's why your initial suggestion of getting rid of the $15 plan altogether properly would be a hugh hugh issue with the current PM "supporter"

Honest, with the current plans lineup, I don't think Pm is very much interested with the low end plans anymore.  It is there for compliance and just make it competitive with other Tier 3, I think PM more interested in opening up the mid and high ends price range, like $40 and up.

@softech , Though that maybe true, the fact is, These can't last forever, and the fact that at some point, PM has to make plans that would give a bit more for a Modest fee, if PPL wanted Only Cheaper stuff, would that Hold PM up in Improving service?

As we do pay the highest in the G8 World, if one was to Get a Plan that had the Right amount of stuff for $20, that would be worth something

If PM Made a Strictly Basics Plan of 800 Mins Canada-Wide Talk + Unlim Can-Wide Txt for $10 and 1600 Mins Can-Wide Talk + Unlim Global Txt for $15, would that be something that PPL might consider?

Perhaps turn the 4G for the Talk + Txt as Back-Up Option, and then Deep Fry the 3G

Or 5G as the Standard, 4G for the Primary Back-Up

3G For the Secondary Back-Up

@Mohawk44 wrote:

They definitely should just get rid of 3G. Look at their counterpart networks in the US. They no longer use 3G.

@Mohawk44

Canada has no plan to get rid of 3G at the moment. We rely too much on 3G for voice.  Also, it is likely due to the  geographic issue, telecome not willing to get rid of it like US

The rumour earlier was that 3G will be gone by end of 2025.  Latest rumour is that 3G will be here MUCH longer that that.  Maybe 3G here will be like 2G in US.  Yes, while you are cheering for the sunset of 3G in US, US stil has a decent coverage of 2G as a backup, mainly for voice.  So, we could see 3G serves the same purpose here

Here was also this

Why Not ditch the 4G LTE and make the 5G LTE Standard, Perhaps with different Speeds

Like, One with 250MB

Other being 350MB

5G LTE Plans w. 250MB Speeds

$25 w. 800Mins Can-Wide Talk + 750MB 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Global Txt

$30 w. 25GB w. 5G LTE Speeds +  Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt

$38 for 30 Days w. 35GB w. 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $35

$48 for 30 Days w. 45GB w. 5 LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $45

$58 w. 55GB w. 4G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option w. Unlim Data for $55

5G LTE Plans at 350MB Speeds

$68 w. 55GB w. 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $65

$78 w. 65GB w. 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option w. Unlim Data for $75

@makkahn28  A few plan in this post are certainly attractive to me . But everyone’s needs are so greatly different. But if jump on about 4 so far you have suggested . Just so much to consider

Best to send your advise directly to CS agent and have them to pass on to the executive

But couple things I can think of

PM has a strong base on $15 and $25 and many new activations for that too, I will be a big impact on the number of subscribers if there is a $5 increase to that.  Also, $15 and $25 are something that offered by all Tier 3 providers , it will be a big gamble for PM to leave its competitors behind and move on to the new territory

As for $15, it was there to fulfil the CRTC's basic plan requirement. It is true that PM is a prepaid provider and technically do not need to be compliant with that ( I believe that is for postpaid providers only), but PM has that for goodwill.  So, while PM can move $25 to $30, I doubt they will touch the $15 at the moment

They definitely should just get rid of 3G. Look at their counterpart networks in the US. They no longer use 3G.

PM needs to add some of the plans we have in Quebec to all of Canada. We have Canada US plans which rest of Canada can’t get.

4G LTE Plans

$25 w. 800Mins Can-Wide Talk + 750MB 4G LTE Speeds + Unlim Global Txt

$30 w. 25GB w. 4G LTE Speeds +  Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt

$38 for 30 Days w. 35GB w. 4 LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $34

$47 for 30 Days w. 45GB w. 4 LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $43

$57 w. 55GB w. 4 LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option w. Unlim Data for $54

5G LTE Plans

$66 w. 65GB w. 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $63

$77 w. 75GB w. 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option w. Unlim Data for $72

What about these? @Handy1

@Handy1 , What's your thoughts on Unlim Plans where Data is Throttled From Beginning, for Both 4G LTE and 5G LTE

Purchasing Separate Add-Ons for the Full Speeds

4G/ 5G LTE Throttled Speeds Plans Only

$19 w. Unlim Can-Wide + Global Txt + Unlim Throttled 4G LTE Speeds of 600 kbps/ $15 on a 90 Day Cycle

$29 w. Unlim Can-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt + Unlim Throttled 4G LTE Speeds of 600 kbps/ $25 on a 90 Day Cycle

$39 w. Unlim Can-Wide + Global Txt + Unlim Throttled 5G LTE Speeds of 1MB/ $35 on a 90 Day Cycle

$49 w. Unlim Can-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt + Unlim Throttled 5G LTE Speeds of 1MB/ $45 on a 90 Day Cycle

Would these ideas be fair in this suggestion?

@makkahn28  Well at least match what they are now or make better for example this one

$70 w. 50GB w. 5G LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $65

is already $5 cheaper on 30 day and in 90 day it’s $10 cheaper

Handy1_0-1688464841559.png

@Handy1 , for the plans you believe are a bit pricey, what would be your Price Point?

What would be considered fair value?

@Handy1 , It may look like it, But, it does take a lot of careful analysis

I believe, Quality is Better than Quantity, and as saying goes, You get what you pay for, so, trying to find that Median sweet spot can be difficult, But sometimes requires a bit of give and take

Handy1
Mayor / Maire

@makkahn28  You have put a lot of thought into this . For me only one plan looks attractive and that would be

50 for 30 Days w. 30GB w. 4 LTE Speeds + Unlim Canada-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt w. 90 Day Option for $45

otherwise they seem like more expensive variation of whats already there . I do like your idea about data add ons paying a lil more for 90 day option before it expires .

Or at these fees

Would these ideas be fair in this suggestion?

makkahn28
Mayor / Maire

Also, your thoughts If PM made a Plan for Both 4G LTE/ 5G LTE Speeds where Unlim Data at 600 kbps for the 4G and 1MB for the 5G

So, Like these for example

4G/ 5G LTE Throttled Speeds Plans Only

$24 w. Unlim Can-Wide + Global Txt + Unlim Throttled 4G LTE Speeds of 600 kbps/ $19 on a 90 Day Cycle

$34 w. Unlim Can-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt + Unlim Throttled 4G LTE Speeds of 600 kbps/ $29 on a 90 Day Cycle

$44 w. Unlim Can-Wide + Global Txt + Unlim Throttled 5G LTE Speeds of 1MB/ $39 on a 90 Day Cycle

$54 w. Unlim Can-Wide + US L-D + Global Txt + Unlim Throttled 5G LTE Speeds of 1MB/ $49 on a 90 Day Cycle

This being the Exact Opposite of Full Speed Plans

If this could help create plans that are cost effective, and giving Newer Plan options that could be considered evolutionary

Buying the Add-Ons Specifically for if one wanted the Full Speeds for either 30 or 90 Day, this way, ppl can make do with the Unlim Throttled Data Speeds, have this option as well

Sometimes it might look like in order to get somethings, pay a little to get somethings But if that is what would help PM be a More Premium Brand in the existing ecosystem, feel that quality is better than quantity

What's your thoughts on these, what you like, not Like, preference, etc

makkahn28
