From what I understand, the issue affected several people, including myself. Good on PM for actually following through with the fix. This issue had nothing to do with SIM cards nor payment issues, as we were all able to receive texts and data.

No, the outage has nothing to do with suspended phone plans, or failed SIM cards. Please stop having people do these troubleshooting procedures that don't address the issue; the root of it is due to PM's new update which has unintentionally stopped all the older phones from working.

@Caro28 good to hear that it's back to working. If it happens again, things to try would be: shutting down your phone and powering back up, trying your SIM in another device, asking other Public Mobile user's in your area if they are experiencing the same thing or checking for network outages. Hopefully it was just a one time thing.
