I forgot to update my CC info here and my payment didn't go through and my account was suspended. Kind of annoyed that I didn't get any "your payment failed" email or anything like that yesterday before my account was suspended. I made the payment after updating my info, and my phone still has no service.
How long does it take to get service again?

It might be easier for you to start your own thread. Is your situation similar to original poster? You might want to explain your situation specifically and then the things that you tried. Maybe then the community forum members can offer more suggestions as you wait for moderator help.

If you have tried everything posted above and your account is not working, best to wait for a moderator. Keep an eye on the envelope icon in top right corner for a reply from the moderators.

I didn't know that....probably because I have email and almost every notification turned off in my profile. I imagine many others do as well which why they may not respond or mark a solution.
As do I but I think the solutions are not an option. When you start a thread, a week or so later an email is sent to prod the OP whether they got their answer and to come back and select it. Then an email is sent to the poster that got the solution. I don't think that's an option.
Many of the notifications are on by default. Subscriptions in particular. I imagine newbs get deluged with emails when 5 pages of replies land on their thread. That and unsolicited referral codes.

@mattwelke True, unless the originator found the solution without our aid. Based on my rummaging around in old threads, my guess is that a self solution happens about once/day. 😊

Based on what I saw in my account, the fact that my account showed as active before I performed any of the troubleshooting steps suggested here, I can conclude that there was no issue and that the troubleshooting steps would not have made a difference. Therefore, I chose my post clarifying the confusion as the solution, so that future people encountering this issue would see it when they visit this page, like on Stack Overflow.
I'm sorry if you felt I was trying to take credit away. I do appreciate you and the other forum members taking time to suggest troubleshooting steps.

My service has returned. I think it returned right after I made the payment. I had my mobile data disabled and I was confusing the "data is turned off" symbol in the upper right corner with the "no service" symbol.
All is good. Ty for the help.

So Sorry to hear that this happened to you @mattwelke , try these tricks to restart your phone service. You could try in order:
1. Restarting your phone. Turn your phone off, wait 30 seconds and restart.
2.Putting your phone on aeroplane mode for 5 minutes. Take it off and restart.
3.From your self service account enable the lost/ stolen feature log out, wait 5 minutes, log in and take it off. Log out and restart your phone.
4. Add a one time payment and of $2 To your account and restart your phone .
If these tricks don't work contact a moderator and ask them to reset your SIM. Click on the green questionmark in the white circle at the bottom right of your screen. This connects to the autobot Simon. Type moderator and follow the prompts to get to one (CLICK on "Account specific question" and "No I want a human" and "Submit a ticket Click me!")
Once connected, you will be asked to log in again with your community user name and password. Please do, this allows you to continue and send your message.
Check your private message sent box (click on the envelope top right of your screen) to make sure the message was sent. Also keep an eye on the envelope, the mods answer will show up there.
You can also enable email notification to receive a private message notification sent to your email.
Go into your community account > my settings > PREFERENCES > Private Messenger > enable "Receive email notifications for new private messages" > Save
Stay safe

My account doesn't actually say suspended anymore. It looks like it does when my service is active. But my phone still has no service.
I have tried restarting my phone and going in and out of airplane mode.
I'll try staying in airplane mode for an extended amount of time and if that doesn't work, I'll try the troubleshooting steps you mentioned for resetting the SIM.

Give your phone a quick restart and you should have signal come through.
Also, your online account will keep saying suspended and it will change to active state overnight. you can ignore the "suspended" message online.
If it still does not work, You can also try the lost/stolen phone trick or manually loading $1 into account.
This trick resets your SIM/phone.
To report your phone lost/stolen.
let us know if this helps
cheers

@mattwelke Is your account active now? Do you see Reactivation button? Was your plan updated and you have enough funds? Try rebooting your phone or using airplane mode for a while. Usually, it helps.
