@gaudetdj   what have you been waiting for months?

 

you need PM support to change email address for you?  If you opened ticket, they usually reply within 2 hours or so.  If over 72 hours. open ticket again.  And remember PM support does not reply you via email but only reply via Community inbox https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/notes/privatenotespage

This is good reminder! But then, most answers are in Help area is people would care to read it.

Actually I do not want them to read Help - will keep the rest of us busy.

On your self serve account or your community profile? If it's the latter just click on your avatar at the top right corner of your screen and click on settings. You can change your email there but make sure you then go to the email you changed it to and verify the email change. 

 

Note:

Your community email must match exactly the self serve email you want any possible community reward earned to be awarded.

If you meant email on  Community here, you can simply go to My Profile to change it.

 

If it is email used for My Account, you will have to go through PM to have them change for you.  

 

Use Chatbot to open a ticket.  Follow these steps to get to open ticket screen quicker:

  1. type: Contact CS Agent
  2. Click "Contact Us"
  3. Click "Other"
  4. Click "Click here to submit a ticket"
  5. you will then direct to another page to open ticket.

 

After ticket is submitted, make sure to check your Community Inbox(top right corner envelope icon) periodically for response from PM's CS Agent

 @darlicious : The back door is still there. I didn't complete it though.

I believe they disabled the ability to change the login email or are you sayjng the backdoor still allows this? I still strongly believe they should enable this feature for a username ( like your online banking) as a security feature to prevent account access by fraudsters. If it works well for bank account security it would do the same here. Add a verification question and boom they could enable the sim card feature to our accounts again.

Oh, that's not confusing... AT ALL!  😅  That actually sounds like a fundamental design issue, but alas, not directly relevant here (I hope).

 @BlueB : Make it four then. 🙂 There are actually two in the self-serve. The internal account one and the login one. When the account is created, those split off in two directions.

There's a backdoor method to change the login email but it doesn't change the account email. The password reset still goes to the account email.

There are basically 3 different "accounts" here:

  1. Public Mobile phone service: Email address needs to be changed through a Moderator (staff)... click on the chat bubble (lower-right corner) and open a ticket for this
  2. Community: Our forums here allow you to change it yourself:
    https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/myprofilepage/tab/personal-profile
  3. Online Store: If you bought something, that's yet another area for your email (separate to any of the above)

Only one way To change the e-mail address associated with your Public Mobile self serve account, you will need to open a ticket by moderator Team,

 

you have to Submit a ticket to a moderator.

  • You’ll need to be logged in to your Community account for the link to work.

 

  • In your message put it, please include.
  • your account number,
  • your phone number,
  • your account PIN,
  • explanation to them nice Team and nice service

The only way to have your email changed to your Self Serve account is to ask the Moderators to do it for you.

 

To contact the Public Mobile Moderator_Team, there are two methods to reach them:

1 -  Faster - Click the bubble comment circle on the bottom right-hand side of your screen,

2 – Slower - Use this link to:

Private Message to Public Mobile Moderators (PM Customer Service Representatives)

 

 

If you mean the email to your Community account, you can do that yourself in My Settings  under your Avatar, top, right of your Community page.
