Take this under advisement when you try to update your credit card...
When you update your credit card follow this method to avoid errors/messages......
Once you successfully update your card then try a test payment of $1 to make sure it works. Or better yet just top up your account to cover your next renewal.
Do not try more than two attempts at adding a card or payments ( successful or not) or you will continue to get an error message. Wait at least 1 hour to try a third time another hour for your 5th try....and so on....and do not make more than 4 unsuccessful tries with the same card in a 24 hour period or you will trigger a fraud alert lock out requiring assistance from the moderators. You may want to check your official Canada post address compared to your billing statement address as subtle differences can be the issue like when you have a direction in the street address ( north, east, south, west.)

You would need to replace your credit card.
To update or remove your credit or Visa debit card details, sign in to Self-Serve. Once signed in, click on the ‘Payment’ tab, then scroll to the bottom of the page and select ‘Manage my card’. Here, you will have the option to either select ‘Replace this card’, where you can enter the details for your new card, or ‘Remove this card’. You will need to review and confirm this change to your account and then you’re all set..Remember, accepted credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and Visa Debit cards that have been issued by Canadian or American financial institutions and are associated with addresses in Canada or the U.S. If you are using a payment card, leave the apartment/suite number in the payment information section blank.

Bottom left click Manage My Card.
for changing visa expiry date, I believe you use need to use the option "Replace" your card there, like putting in another card and cannot just update expiry date field (Correct me if I am wrong )

@Forgetful01...log into your account and click Payment tab. Then scroll down a bit to Manage my Card. Then you'll be able to edit cc info.
