Hi, I've been a loyal customer for 4 years, and refer 2 of my friends, also set up auto -pay monthly, that leads to my $8 reward nowadays. But now I am thinking to change to 3-month 4G 20GB, however when I choose "change now" I was asked to pay the amount without that rewards, question:
#1: Am I still allowed to use my reward mode, saying 3*$8 every cycle, before hand or after ?
#2: Will I loose my this month's reward( $8)?
Thanks.

@tsunami604- It seems unpredictable. It should be that you would get the normal 1x rewards at the plan change. Then at the next renewal you would get 3x. But I've seen reports here of people getting 3x autopay at change. Just follow the money to make sure you're getting what you deserve at the end of the day. That being after your next renewal of the then 90 day plan.

@tsunami604 Your not really missing rewards . When you first started you got your rewards for use 30 day later for next renewal . So if moving to 90 day plan you still only have 30 days 1x rewards to apply to it but then after 90 days you will have 90 days worth if rewards 3rewards going forward for the next renewal

This means I will be missing rewards for 2 months?

@tsunami604 Correct because your going to 90 day from 30 day so you only have 1x reward from the last 30 days . But after 90 days you will have 3x rewards for that following renewal

This is not the case for me. I am currently on a 30 day subscrpition, and switching to a 90 day subscription on next renewal. Upcoming payment only shows 1x rewards. Not 3x

Changing from a 30 to a 90 day plan seems to be a bit messy. There have several different observations that have happened.
I believe the way it should happen upon changing from 30 to 90 is that you get your $8 as usual the day of plan expiry. Then the same thing, only times 3 (24), on the day of expiry 90 days away. But we've seen people get $6 for autopay at change. I don't recall seeing other regulars posting their observations with the recent return of 90 day plans.

So when I click to my reward dashboard, it shows my current reward balance and supposed to applied for next cycle if I did not change my plan right now. And yes, 90- days will lead to Dec 4, good calculation. Thanks.

@beva-Hu If you renew today into a 90 day plan, I think you'd get your next rewards on Dec 2nd (T+89 days).
What do you mean when you say you have a rewards credit? Those are usually applied on the same day as your renewal. When was your last renewal?

@DennyCrane If already in then20GB for $39 once going to subscription add on page there will be option to go 90 days on that plan . Otherwise one would need to schedule plan change for next renewal on some other plan . And then go back into the subscription add on page to see the plan that was not showing earlier because one was already in it . Hope that make sense . Does in my own head LOL

I feel like I won't loose my current reward($8 for pass month, as it is in my reward balance already). The only thing here should be: when I choose "change now", i have to pay full amount upfront, but my $8 from past month and my next 3 month reward $3x8 should be applied on next renewal(meaning first pay and use then get reward --> which make sense to me as well) on Dec 4 saying if I change plan right now?

@Handy1 I know, but I'm saying an early renewal into a 90 day plan isn't advisable as he'd lose 90 days worth of rewards for renewing early (as far as I understand). He'd forgo $24 for the sake of $15 of 90 day savings. It would be better to renew into a 30 day plan so he's only losing $8 of rewards, then schedule another change into the 90 day plan at next renewal.
My question is whether or not we can use self serve to renew from the $39/20GB plan into $102/60GB? Or whether it won't let you because it's the same plan.

@DennyCrane Yes that would be correct only OP is considering changing to 90 day plan currently in a30 day plan now so that won’t make any difference

@beva-Hu Then if you need data right away it’s not a bad idea to change plans right away . And you will still get your old rewards on the following renewal no worries

@beva-Hu If you are out of data that would be a scenario where you'd want to consider renewing early. Just know that you won't get any rewards. It would be more beneficial for you to renew into the 30 day option so you don't lose 3 months of rewards. Then as soon as that takes effect schedule a plan change into the 90 ay version for next renewal. Assuming you can renew into the same plan, but the 90 vs 30 version. Hopefully @dust2dust or @Handy1 can confirm that.

Also, thank you all for recommending me not to "change now",instead to "change on renewal" , if the only lost is the this month lost that is fine as I need data badly 🙂
09-04-2023 01:27 PM
@beva-Hu No rewards or refunds for early renewal. If you schedule the plan change for next renewal you'll get all your rewards up front for 3 months ($24).
09-04-2023 01:26 PM
@beva-Hu Yes I’m in 90 day plan so I get 3x rewards after 90 days instead of the 1x rewards for 30 days . So in your case you will see $8 in rewards every 30 days and if on 90 day plan you will have $24 in rewards on your following renewal
09-04-2023 01:24 PM
Yes, thank you. So are all the reward 3* include the (auto-pay) which I would take the "subscription" from you reward screen copy, right?
09-04-2023 01:21 PM
Yes, just select the plan you wish to switch to. I've changed 2 times. I've never opted into the points system. Been with them 5 years
09-04-2023 01:15 PM
@beva-Hu You can change plans and not worry about losing your old rewards there tied to your account not your plan . I can confirm I change plans often and always keep my old rewards . Just be sure to change plan on renewal and not immediately or you lose money in current cycle
Change plan in 3 easy clicks
Once you find plan you want be sure to (change on renewal )So you don’t lose money on current cycle
pic of proof for rewards staying

If you choose change on next renewal then the rewards will pay in as normal just before renewal. Doing a change now needs full payment up front. It's possible that you might get rewards a few days later but not certain on that.
Yes you keep the rewards.
