Have money in My Account, can be used to buy phone?

Created new account in buying phone from https://store.publicmobile.ca/account/register.  If I buy phone, will it be paying from money in My Account or must I pay with credit/debit card?

PM has 3 different accounts: self-service - mobile service, Community account and shopping account.

Funds from self-service cannot be used to buy phones from PM no matter how much credit you have there.

If you're willing to have an Alberta area code and number, you won't pay the provincial sales tax that some other provinces charge.

@Tahiti  sorry, no trick to save tax either.. shipping and billing (address on credit card) have to match.. if you are not in AB, no way to save

Pay with your valid credit card and leave $$ in Available Funds for future plan payment or add-on purchases.

You must pay by credit card. No other options.

You will need to pay via credit card.  Available funds in your self service account can't pay for certified phones unfortunately.  

There is a special promo announcement for the $20 credit today for certified phone purchases.
