UPDATE
Just an update, I left my RCS off for a few days and this morning I turned it back on and it connected flawlessly. Not sure why or how but it is now connected after going through so many hoops to try and fix it. Thank you for giving me suggestions to get it back up and running.

Hello community members,
I have a Google Pixel 9 XL with Google messages, Seems like RCS is stuck on "verifying number" I have tried everything from uninstalling app, reinstalling app, updating my software, clearing data and cache, I just have run out of options and now beginning to think that maybe Public Mobile no longer supports the use of RCS? or maybe because I'm on a 4G plan?
I have tried to talk to Google Support but they are giving me options I've already tried with no luck. The only thing I can think of is maybe factory resetting my phone but I would hate to do that and have it still not work. Has anyone had this issue and resolved it? or maybe provide a link to other methods? I have googled everything and I just cannot for the life of me figure this out.
Thank you in advance

Thanks for the tip. That's the only thing I have not tried yet. I have messaged CS_Agent to see if they will refresh my account and hopefully that will resolve my RCS issue. Thanks again.

@will13am thank you for the advice, unfortunately that didn't work. I did however have someone tell me to leave RCS chats off for a minimum of 10 days then switch it on. Apparently it resets my profile and disconnects and possible RCS from my old phone which I no longer have possession of. Hopefully that does the trick.

@NORMANA , try the following sequence. Turn off RCS, clear the Carrier Services cache and storage, reset Network settings (there's an option for it in the Reset settings), reboot phone, then re-enable RCS.

hi @NORMANA switching sim night help, eSIM or physical does not matter, as it will reset the account profile
but I would first try on another phone before spending $5 for eSIM

@NORMANA .no the eSIM or physical sim wont make a difference . And personally I would stick with physical sim card less issues and easier to switch devices on the fly . You can ask support for further assistance though , maybe account refresh might do the trick on their end

Hi @hTideGnow ,
Thank you for your quick response. I haven't tried using the SIM with a different phone, however I'm wondering if maybe I switch to an esim that it might solve the issue.

hi @NORMANA
RCS works on both wifi and 4G
I think you should try resetting the phone
but you tried the sim on another phone?
