You're absolutely right. That's what was being sold, that's what you bought. The people that are here know that the $2 is no more. But for a newly arriving customer, how could they know? I think I would ask for a $50 account credit equivalent to 2 years of the $2 reward (a nice rounding up). Or if you like data then a nice healthy add-on.
This place is very slow with changing things. This is their error and oversight. You deserve the $2 autopay reward because that's what you bought in to. That's the bill of goods you were sold. Otherwise it's fraud and the old bait and switch. You could even take this to the CCTS.
Good luck.

@michael333_9 I see what you mean, yep PM (as usual) don't bother updating all the details where the $2 autopay discount was mentioned and it's definitely still showing on the Change Plans page.
I would take a screenshot of that and ask CSA about honouring the discount although they most likely will not, but maybe they might offer some small compensation, perhaps extra one time data or something. Either way, I'd still want to bring that up to PM managements attention, so tagging @J_PM would be a good idea too.

After the activation process, I expected the $2 discount. When I found there is no discount at all, I tried to figure out if this is system problem, I tried “ Chang Plan”, It shows the info. I had wrote an email to J_PM last week per suggestion. However I did not receive feedback yet and please see attached.

HI @Meow I do not agree that it is misleading. Oracle can earn $20. They are regular customers. They are selected group but everyone is welcome when there is opening.
Like me, I never got $15, but I would not say nobody can earn it just because I didn't get it

Could you please post a link or screenshot when it says you get $2 off for autopay?
I was not able to find it and they have info about points only.
But even this is misleading:
Nobody can earn 20 points except you_know_who...

Thank you and will do

@michael333_9 Where do you see that? If you want, you can make a suggestion to Public Mobile for them to re-design their webpage to remove the advertisement of this incentive under the old reward system.
You can make your suggestion by sending a private message to @J_PM after clicking on the "Messages" icon on this "Community" page.
Thank you.

It wasn't really a promotion. Just the old rewards system. And they haven't bothered to clear all the mentions of it related to new accounts.

@JL9 wrote:So you did activate after Jan 25th. I feel your pain I thought the 2 autopay discount was still a thing too and disappointed to find out it isn't. Instead you get 5% of what you pay so anything under 40 you get less and if you have a 15 plan or 25 plan, you get 75 cents and 1.25 respectively 💩 lol
The new points program is universially worse for all price plans compared to old rewards system. It can only possibly work out better over the longer run for customers who regularly buy many add-ons. The new points system isnt able to compete with the old loyalty rewards.

If you signed up after later January then the $2 discount is gone. You get points now.

If you are activated on or after January 25th, 2022, you are on the new public point system.
This does not include $2 auto-pay discount, but points for the plan amount value.
