My autopay did not work today and my service was cut off while I was out. I was not in reach of wifi and I was stranded with no phone. I wasn’t able to check my account or banking.
When I finally got home I saw there was no issue with my bank. There was no notice on my PM account yet. No idea why my service was cut off, I was furious. So I decided to go to Costco and get a new phone plan. While doing this I was told I needed to pay PM in order to reinstate my service so that I can receive the confirmation texts and port my number over to my new service. Without paying them for the next month they basically were holding my number hostage (I was told). So I went on to my PM account and there was finally a message about my service being suspended and to click to pay.
so is there anything I can do about this? Am I out of luck to get my money back? I just wish I could talk to a real person 😩 this feels like such a scam

@Jennaelilly sorry to hear of this. I have seen a few messages lately regarding autopay failure when the card is still good and no changes.
Unfortunately, to port to a new carrier outside of the Telus brand, your account has to be active. You would need to reactivate your account using the cheapest plan. You can do so by signing in pay now and resume service.
Public Mobile will not give you back any money as there is a no refund policy.
If you want to communicate with someone you have to use the chatbot and create a ticket.
