I tried to help a senior friend get hooked up with Public Mobile. We bought her a SIM, waited 6 weeks for it to come, it finally came - now we tried to hook her up with Public Mobile and what happens? We can't download the app for it because her iPhone is too old a version. What's more, it took so long to get the SIM card that now I can't return the useless iPhone. I'm angry and upset with Public. I want to cancel her reoccuring monthly charges (on this account) which has never been fully activated as WE CAN'T, and I'd love to get a refund of her first month that we NEVER USED, as we can't activate it. And I'm out $200+ for this iPhone. Please help.

@kp70 - we are customers like you here on the community forum. See if you can activate the account with the help from this group, click this link to use the: Public Mobile Online Activation Assistance
You don't really need the app on the phone to maintain the public mobile account. Managing online through web browser should be suffice.

You can still access the website through the web browser. This is what I do since the app isn’t great to begin with. Still very slow and clunky even on a brand new iPhone. bookmark the public mobile website to her favourites list. problem solved.

for the app, you can have a friend to download the app and activate for you
once activated, your friend can delete the app and you don't need the app anymore, you can access your My Account using only browser
So, check if you hve a friend who can help you with
