I am a candian soldier currently in fairbanks Alaska, specifically ft wainwright, and am unable to receive calls or use data. I had recently upgraded my plan to use data and take calls and it is not working. I've had to use other people's phones to post this. I would like a full refund and go back on my own plan if there simply is no real service in Alaska, since it was not specified when I purchased the plan. I would like to be able to contact family and friends in my month long deployment here

@Gameboy69err
Try and see if Verizon works, try restart phone and see if that helps.
LTE and 4g are the same thing. Can you remove the auto connect and connect manually to AT&T.
Always reboot when you make any changes.
If you sent the ticket to CS_agent then you can check for a response here.

Galaxy A05 is not on the list and hence cannot make calls.
However, your data has nothing to do with VoLTE or not. So, your phone can connect to AT&T there and use data on 4G/LTE. Since Alaska does not have T-Mobile, so, you have to connect to AT&T. Try changing the network to 4G or LTE, then manually connect to AT&T. And which city you are at? Most major Alaska city should have AT&T coverage

If it's not on the list it could potentially mean that it won't work outside of Canada for voice calls based on PM. Data should work. When you were in Canada did you have any issues with data? And you confirmed in your plan it was changed to the Canada-US? Check the APN settings. Open your phone’s settings and tap:
Access Point Names,
New APN settings
Verify the following field match
APN: sp.mb.com
MMSC proxy: mmscproxy.mobility.ca
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMS port: 8799
MCC: 302
MNC: 220

After doing that did you restart? If it still doesn't work, check if your phone is on the white-list here https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/on/get-help/articles/volte If it is, and it's still not working m then please reach out to PM directly. Maybe your account needs to refresh.

@Gameboy69err check the phone settings and make sure to turn off automatic and choose manual connections. Should be Connections, Mobile Networks. Do you see AT&T or T-Mobile choose one.

And yes I have roaming on

@Gameboy69err we do appreciate your service 🙏
what type of phone do you have? You have roaming on?
Going back to old plan could be a challenge. You would have to sign into your account to see if it's available and then select the option to Change on Renewal. They do have a no refund policy.

in the settings...make sure Roaming Data is enabled. Unless your phone is volte enabled, calling not work in USA.
to inquire about refund, click the orange bubble, lower right side of page to start the process. Give them account info like ph #, name on account etc...If that doesn't work, use this link..
