You can always change the e-mail address after. Why not try with another email address if you need the subscription quickly?
And you have another card to try?

It is kind of a rush. I only wanted to use the email I had signed up with as it is my main one.

Make sure you are using a credit card that is issued by Canadian financial institution
If you are not in a rush, wait 24 hours and try again. Make sure you use PM app to subscribe. If you already using the PM app, uninstall and reinstall, and use a different e-mail address to create another account
