In the PM web page, the "Data Usage" in the Overview page automatically indicates more than 100 MB used when new cycle starts today (Aug 21, 24). It happened last cycle also.
Data Usage taken at 10:39 PM tonight (Aug 21, 2024)
Usage History taken at 10:40 PM tonight (Aug 21, 2024)
Among the 102.97MB indicated, the 2.97 MB is most likely actually used by me, but not the 100 MB. From the above Usage History, one can see that my normal daily usage is not more than 5 MB.
I will show my Usage History again tomorrow once August 21, 24 usage has been updated in order to prove my point.

Have you had any resolution? I've reached out to customer service and they say they are looking at it. It appears the same problem is happening with some of the other Public Mobile accounts my family holds. I suspect this has been going on for several months.

My bad. I misread your previous massage. You are absolutely right that it only allows you to "choose" up to "90 days", but actually it can only show up to 46 days of history, regardless if you choose "60 days" or "90 days". And also you are right about not being able to download more than 30 days.

Thanks, but that only allows you to go back 90 days. Any days beyond that are not selectable. Further you can only download the last 7 days of usage.

On the first page after you log in, under the "Subscription Usage" tag, at the very bottom, there is a "View Usage History". You click on that, then you can see your "Usage History" title, under it is a "Filter" option. Click on that and then choose your "date range".

I'm experiencing this problem too. I just noticed it now, but suspect it has been ongoing for several months. Does anyone know how to get more than 90 days of history so that I can try to see how far back this goes?

I have been monitoring my actual data usage. It seems like PM is using the "Usage History" amount rather than the amount shown in the overview. It is kind of annoying, but as long as I do not lose any of my data usage, it is fine with me.

Any development on this? I have 3 accounts at 250MB/$15 and they all experience this on a regular basis (Extra 100 mb usage on the overview page). Happening now with at least one of those accounts. Thanks.

I have the same problem and have put in a ticket regarding it. Still waiting for a reply from customer service, but it has been over a month now.

Here is my Overview taken at 9:43 PM tonight (Aug 22, 2024)
Thanks for your advise.

and today your Usage meter on the front page still showing 100+Mb?
From what I heard, PM usually takes long to fix something, probably they need to test it out thoroughly first before they roll out the fix.
I think you should also open the ticket with PM. In case you data got used up early, you got a proof. Also, it helps PM to understand how widespread the problem is

Here is the Usage History for August 21, 24 (taken at 9:15 PM on Aug 22, 2024)
So obviously on the first day of my subscription cycle I used only 4.01 MB (1.00 MB + 3.01 MB), while in the Overview on August 21, 2024 (first date of my cycle) 102.97 MB usage was indicated as in my first post.
As some replies indicated that PM has already been notified of this problem, why is it not fixed for such a long time?
Thanks for all the replies. At least I know I am not alone in this.

But it looks like the counter will not reset, like it used to with the 5.2MB buffer of old, does it? If so, customers are cheated out of the 100MB. That's 40% of total plan data that someone might actually count on for emergencies.
Not cool, PM!
ETA: We had one account (ported out in June) that all of a sudden would not show data usage at all in the overview page and the usage history was all over the place, showing zero when the phone usage showed 1GB used for the timeframe, and random amounts when the phone was off for a few days... So no indication of what the actual use was but then suddenly it would cut the data off without warning. This went on for three or four months, we did all the due diligence tryin to access the data on the app, different browsers, clearing cache and incognito mode, all with the exact same result. Multiple CSA accused us of making things up and refused to do anything.

Experiencing the same thing. $15 plan renewed overnight, on checking the account to make sure that everything renewed properly I find 100+MB usage in less than 8 hours overnight that is just impossible (the phone was off between 8pm and 5am PST , and even if it were on - I'm meticulous in restricting background data use and allow updates on WiFi only... Up to this I barely, if at all, used up the 250MB in the full cycle for years.)
You say it happened last cycle as well... Have you taken this up with CSA? Did they acknowledge the problem and give you the 100MB back? Just wondering if it's worth my time contacting them, or just use this as just another incentive to port this number elsewhere...

@TH1381 , the first screen cap is a real time meter of usage in the current plan cycle. The second screen cap is a breakdown of daily usage. You are looking at 2 different time periods.

@TH1381 when you check again tomorrow, please use browser with Incognito mode as well as try using the Public Mobile app

Data usage gets updated once or twice a day, check again tomorrow morning after 8 am EST, it should display the correct usage
