How to get refund after downgrading, then adding promo price.

I was billed $30 to "downgrade" to the $30 ULCW Base (to make the MEX75 promo available to me)

Then I "upgraded" to the boxing day MEX75 promo immediately after.

Seeing how I paid for a month that I did not use at all, the original $30 should be credited towards the account, correct? Will billing do this automatically or is there a request I have to make?

Public Mobile's site/app still has its shortcomings and I like to believe it still retains good customer service when it comes to these situations. I would contact customer support and explain the situation and ask if they are willing to credit your account. They can certainly refuse but since they are all about upgrading customers plan amounts to increase their AMPU I'm sure they would rather have a happy customer on the $35 plan than an unhappy one shopping around for a different provider offering the same plan with a heavily subsidized device.

You can always ask for your request to be escalated if you are unhappy with the agents response.....but most customers get a "one time exception".

Sadly you will not get a refund as YOU chose to do it right away. There are two options. Do it NOW or at the Renewal date. ALWAYS do on renewal date so you don't lose money. Since this was a USER choice and not an error of PM, they won't refund you.
