Change or upgrade subscription?

If I change my subscription, do I lose my referrals? And if I don’t, when do I get my new points if I change my subscription immediately

Another consideration:  If you do change plans to a higher priced plan, you are unlikely to change to a lower priced plan in the future.  PM has offered personalized plan offers for existing customers.  Meaning, most of the plans offered to existing customers is higher than then existing plan.

Your points reward will change on your next renewal date and not immediately.

The above isn't accurate.  After an immediate plan change, rewards/points are given out within 48 hours.

@Gerry1234 as already shared, you will not lose your referrals if changing plans. Below is from Public Mobile's help article: https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/bc/get-help/articles/change-your-plan

Take a look at the 2nd last bullet...

Changing Your Subscription Now

If you’ve used up all of your talk, text or data allotment and want to change your subscription early, you can do that as well. If you’re changing your subscription immediately, here are some things to keep in mind:

  • A new payment cycle starts when you activate your new subscription.
  • Your subscription will not be prorated, which means that any days or benefits (data/voice/text) remaining in your current payment cycle will not be added to your new subscription
  • Any earned Rewards will be applied on your next renewal after the subscription change.
  • If your services are on hold you will not be able to change your subscription until you re-subscribe. You can learn how to re-subscribe here.

@Gerry1234   No you don't lose your referrals.  I'm not sure how the points work when you do an immediate plan change as opposed to selecting "change on renewal" but I'm sure someone else will be along to answer.   But you are aware that an immediate plan change is charged in full immediately and the remainder of the old plan is lost with no pro-rating?
