While I have had no problems in the past, most recently in April 2024, on this trip to AZ I cannot make or receive calls on my mobile phone. Text is working fine. I have the $36 5G Plan which I thought included roaming, but then added a roaming add on thinking this was the problem.
My phone offers VoLTE service and I have manually selected T-Mobile as suggested in other posts, but still no luck.
Any ideas?

Many thanks to all who replied, my phone is now making and receiving calls. I think it was manually selecting the T-Mobile 2G service as my preferred service that did it.

@BC_Roy It's possible for a phone to be VoLTE capable but not enabled by Public Mobile. If yours is on the mentioned whitelist then it should work ok. If not but it worked before it could have been using T-Mobile's 2G network, which is being, or has been, shut down as of September 1st.

@BC_Roy You don’t need roaming add on with that plan . Try phone set to 4G /LTE not 5G and test connect to T mobile AT&T or Verizon
But also contact support to reverse that roaming add on you bought and ask for credit /refund

try Airplane mode for a moment..then turn Airplane mode off...see if any improvement.
added...what make / model is your cellphone ? Use this link to see if yours is "whitelisted"...
