(Note: @CanadianNerd and @CanadianNerd2 are both me...)
Yesterday, as per @Handy1's suggestion, I created this 2nd account in order to make sure I'd get the $34/month for 40GB @5G offer, because last week I signed up for the $34/month for 20GB @ 5G promotion but couldn't activate it until I received the SIM card (this morning).
After I activated my 1st SIM card, I was finally able to change my subscription, so I no longer need this one (@CanadianNerd2). I don't mind paying the $5 for the SIM card that's on its way for the second account, but I don't feel I should have to pay anything else, because it was IMPOSSIBLE to get any agent's help when I needed it. (I feared that the Cyber-Monday offer would expire last night.)
I sent several messages to the CS_Agents, but never received a reply. And the website doesn't allow anyone access to their account until they have activated the SIM card. Very frustrating first-time experience.
How do I make sure I don't get charged for the 2nd account? 🤔

And IF they do charge you, i'm sure that in this situation, they would refund due to the experiences that you had to go through. You have your messages you sent as proof.

I will need to clarify with PM management, but I believe that customers will be charged the initial 30 day plan fee and the SIM card. The 30 day payment cycle will not start until new customer receives SIM card and activates account,
You will need to wait patiently for CSA help. Backlogged due to the popularity and technical issues from Black Friday deals.
