My plan says that I have unlimited Canada-wide calling, but I get a message saying that I will be charged if I dial a number outside of my local area. Why?

Thanks everyone for your advice! Adding the 1 in front of the 9 numbers solved the problem. Why didn't I think of that before?

@softech @Wouldn’t it be 1 In front of the 9 digits

You shouldn’t be charged if you have Canada wide calling.
Do you know if you have the old Province wide plan?
Best to check and switch.

@wandapd this is a glitch. try to reboot your phone once
and try to dial 1 in front of the 10 digits . It should resolve the issue

@wandapd @Put 1 before the number in your contacts your good to go no extra charge
