@JS27

Turn off iMessage.

Does SMS work now?

Another thing to try is to turn OFF mobile data and wi-fi, now try texting with only the mobile network connected.

@JS27

Was text ever work on this phone?  If never, try to click Reset All network and see if it helps (please note that it will delete your saved Wifi as well, but you just need rejoin them)

if it has worked before, you can try a different Messaging app.  If you are not currently using, try to download Google Message and test it there

You mentioned plural iphone(s). Did you get a new phone @JS27 ?

If a restart did not help, try to deregister the old number on the iphone: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/

Set up your phone number On your iPhone:

  1. Go to Settings > Messages and make sure that iMessage is on. You might need to wait a moment for it to activate.
  2. Tap Send & Receive. If you see “Use your Apple ID for iMessage,” tap it and sign in with the same Apple ID that you use on your Mac, iPad, and iPod touch.
  3. In the "You can receive iMessages" section, make sure that your phone number and Apple ID are selected.
  4. Go to Settings > FaceTime and make sure that your phone number and Apple ID are selected in the "You can be reached by FaceTime at" section.

For texting issue, try to perform the following steps:

  1. Connect to the internet using WiFi or Data.
  2. Go to Settings > Messages and toggle iMessage OFF.
  3. Turn your iPhone off completely, then turn it back on.
  4. Go back into Settings > Messages and toggle iMessage ON.
  5. Make sure “Send as SMS” is also turned ON.

Check your PM account for account status. Phone OS has nothing to do with mobile service. Turn your phone off, wait a bit, turn it on.

Hi @JS27   you sure it is text and not RCS? If RCS, you need Wifi or Mobile Data

Try to reboot your phone once.  or you can clear the cache for your Phone/Message app
