Canada-US package

I signed up for the Canada-US plan, which at the time was 4G. I checked a few times before my renewal date to find it was still in effect for change. I didn't check again until yesterday, the day before I am to go to the US only to find that I did not have what I signed up for! I took the chance to try the upgrade to 5G and was greeted with a message that I could be dinged for $50 at that point or wait for the renewal date again. Why should I renew again? I'd like to talk to someone and get this cleared up.

While I'm at, how does this plan actually work?

Contact @CS_Agent via private message to let them know your scheduled renewal into the new plan didn't work, and that you'd like an exception to do it now with a refund on your old plan or a top up for the difference to the new plan. YMMV, but I'd push in your situation. If you have screenshots of the scheduled change, even better.

@JohnnyRocket

"how does this plan actually work ?"....your PM plan works just as well in US as it does in Canada. You'll be able to dial most any US or Cdn number whilst you're in Canada and USA. You'll also be able to text just as you would as if you were in Canada. Same applies to your data. Sounds like it will be a good plan for anyone who travels to US on a regular basis.

You're going to need to decide if you need the plan changed to 5G now or if it can wait.  If the change needs to be immediately, you'll unfortuatnely need to pay the full plan price and the old plan (and payment will be forfeited).  To avoid the extra charge, please pre-sechedule the change to occur during the next renewal period.
